Getting to Edinburgh

Getting to Edinburgh is easier and quicker than you think and there are options to suit all budgets.

By Train: One of the greenest ways to travel. There are regular train services from all over the UK and if you are traveling direct from London there are plenty of bargains to be had if you book in advance.  Prices  from London to Edinburgh  start from just £14! Tickets are usually available to book 12 weeks in advance and most rail travel websites offer an alert service which will notify you when tickets are available for your dates.

Top Tip: Be flexible with dates and times  to find the cheapest fare!

By Plane: Edinburgh is just an hour’s flight from London and boasts more connections than most European cities.  There are plenty of budget airlines to choose from and booking in advance is recommended.

Top Tip:  If your flight arrives the same morning that your tour departs,  remember to allow plenty of time to collect you bags and make your way to the city centre.

By Bus: This is normally the cheapest way to travel if you are booking at the last minute. A typical journey from London to Edinburgh takes approx 9.5 hours and overnight buses are available.  Buses arrive at St Andrews Bus Station in Edinburgh which is just a ten minute walk from our meeting points!

Top Tip:  Choose an overnight journey and you will save a  nights accommodation!
